Toilets and Bathrooms
· The bathroom should ideally be located in the East. Alternatively, it can be located in the North-West. It should never be located in the North East
· Toilets are permissible only in West, and South and South-East direction but not in the North-East corner
· Toilets should never be located in any of the four corners or the lines connecting the corners as it leads to illnesses, cancers and depression
· Toilets in the center of the house are considered a Vastu ‘Maha-dosha’, absolutely not permissible as it leads to constant sickness and terminal illness in the house
· Washbasin/sinks etc. should be mounted on the north, east or northeast wall of the bathroom
· There must be a provision for proper lighting and cross ventilation. Install an exhaust fan in all toilets
· The geyser should be placed in the Southeast corner
· The drainage system should be in the north or east direction
· The taps and showers should be fixed on the northern side. A bathtub can be placed on the west, east or northeast with the head facing the south side.
· North-west is ideally considered for the placement of the toilet while attached toilet with a bathroom must also be in this direction only. Fix an exhaust fan.
· If there is an attached toilet in the bedroom, always install an automatic door closer to ensure that the bathroom door never unnecessarily remains open for a long time
· Toilets should not be made in the Northeast corner. It is a severe vaastu offence; it brings disastrous health issues, accidents, problems in progeny and also brings unnecessary expenses
· Toilets in the southwest are not good as it causes financial issues, losses, and unnecessary expenses
· Toilets should always face the North or East and never be South or West
· The toilet should never come in front of the bathroom door
· The toilet should not be made under the stairs. In the same way, as the toilet is not at all good in the centre area of the building structure.
· The toilet should not be made near or above the puja room or kitchen. Only a toilet is permissible above another toilet
