Chakras

Chakras:

We all have a physical body.
Larger  than our physical body  is the energy body enveloping the physical body. This energy is made of subtle  connecting channels (nadis) spread right through the body.
Subtle energy runs from the base of the spine to the crown area of the head. Along this spine are located seven chakras. These seven chakras are subtle and cannot be located physically, nor be seen by the physical eyes.
Chakras are an essential part of the energy body of each of us. If the chakras function flawlessly you will have a perfectly fit body with  good health. You will radiate positive energy so you will attract the best people around you and you will have very good interpersonal relations with everyone around you. You will also enjoy peace, mental and  emotional wellbeing.
Chakras are wheels or energetic centers which are focal points of vital energy within the energy body. There are 7 chakras in all. Their positions corresponding to the physical body and their names are as given below.
At the base of the spine is located the muladhar chakra. It is also called root chakra.
At  the lower abdomen is located the swadhistan chakra. It is also called sacral chakra.
At the solarplexus is located the Manipur chakra. It is also called  solarplexus chakra.
At the heart is located the anahat chakra. It is also called heart chakra.
At  the throat is located the vishudh chakra. It is also called throat chakra.
At the forehead is located the ajana chakra. It is also called brow chakra.
At the crown of the head is located the sahasrara chakra. It is also called crown.

Countless channels(nadis) bring energy to the various chakras. Each chakra takes in and process this energy and redistributes it to connected areas in the subtle body.
