Suggestions
-Make
sure that no shadow falls on the front door as it can create many problems.
-An
auspicious symbol or image , such as Ganesha, The front door should be maintained
and kept as attractive as possible.
-In
case your entrance door is directly opposite your neighbor's [as is often the
case in apartments] make sure it is of a different colour or material.
-The
front door should not open to a dead wall . It brings many dead ends in professional
life or in relationships.
-Never
have the entrance door opposite another door that leads out, as whatever comes
in will as easily go out.
-Having
a tulsi or neem in or around the house is auspicious . Cactus or any succulent
plant must be avoided. They create friction. A toilet or a tap in the center of
the house is considered very unlucky as it drains all the wealth away.
-Note
that the use of the swastika symbol to position the main door, is in fact
applicable for positioning any door anywhere in a building.

not have a trash can or rubbish heap in front of your main gate or entrance

gas burner or the microwave in the kitchen should not be directly in front of
the main door . This has a tendency to create stomach related disorders.

have a washroom or pantry under the staircase. It brings immense bad luck.

washrooms, the mirrors, sinks and taps are best placed along the north or east
wall.

toilet seat should preferably be along north-south axis. Numerous people
worship the rising sun facing east hence avoid aligning the toilet seat
east-west.

electrical or heat generating appliance are recommended to be kept in the
south-east, or at least their plug point [energy source] or the remote should
be in this direction.
-Your
valuables , credit cards, cash etc., should be kept in a locker or cupboard
which opens towards the north.
-While
vacuum cleaning your house remember to burn a candle at a safe place near the
center of the room to transmute negative energies.
-To
ensure that your educational carrier moves smoothly forward, study facing south
or west should be avoided.

oldest member of the house should be given the south-west bedroom . From oldest
to youngest the bedrooms assigned should be in the south-west , then south
,then west, then north-west, with the youngest member of the family being given
the north-east room.

sleep with your head towards the east or south. The head towards the west is
also acceptable, but it should never be towards the north . This creates a disturbance
in the electro –magnetic currents of the body which manifests as

hang paintings depicting war , unrest, agony or distress as they release
similar vibrations in the house.
-Avoid
keeping broken mirrors or window panes in the house . They cause many
obstructions and are capable of breaking
relationships.

number of doors should not be in multiples of ten , and the windows should not
be more than the doors.

double storeyed house , the number of openings in the ground floor should be
more than the first floor.
-It
is recommended to taper the height of a building from south-west to north-east.
Similarly, the walls along the south-west should also be marginally thicker
than at the north-east.
-Keeping
an energizer in the foundation column is considered auspicious as negative
energies get transmuted.
-It
is auspicious to perform the house warming [or griha pravesh] ceremony before
occupying a house.
